This policy applies to the Wildigo mobile application and related Wildigo website services. Wildigo provides mapping, route, journal, team communication and safety tools for hunting, fishing, camping and hiking.
You are not required to grant permissions that a feature does not need. Location, microphone, camera, notification and health permissions can be changed in device settings. Disabling a permission may limit the related feature.
2. Information we may process
Account and profile
Email address, user ID, display name, profile photo, preferred language and app settings.
Location and activity
When you use maps, route recording, camp spots, team location or Guardian, we may process precise and background location, speed, routes, distance, duration and elevation. Background location is used only when you enable a feature that requires it.
Content and device permissions
Notes and photos added to journals, camera input used to scan QR codes, and microphone input used for push-to-talk communication.
Team, safety and health
Team memberships, emergency contacts, SOS and location-sharing status; after separate explicit consent, optional blood type, heart rate, blood oxygen, workout and active-energy information.
Technical and transaction data
App and device version, operating system, security and service logs, notification token, basic usage events and score based on active time. Premium purchases are verified through Google Play; Wildigo does not store payment card details.
3. Why we use information
- Create and secure your account and synchronize settings.
- Provide maps, routes, forecasts, journals, team, PTT and Guardian functions.
- Deliver notifications and team or safety communication initiated by you.
- Verify Premium access, prevent abuse and protect the service.
- Diagnose errors, measure performance and improve user experience.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to rights requests.
Account, Premium and user-selected feature information is processed as necessary to perform the user agreement; transaction records may be processed to meet legal obligations. Technical security and basic usage information is processed on the basis of legitimate interests that do not override user rights and, where necessary, to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Blood type and device health information is processed only after separate explicit consent for each data type.
5. Retention and deletion
Your data is retained for as long as your user account exists.
When you delete your account, the profile, routes, journals, photos, saved locations, team relationships and other user data linked to it are permanently deleted together with the account.
6. Your rights and choices
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing and, where available, receive a portable copy of your data. Permissions can be withdrawn in device settings.
We may verify account ownership before completing a request. A Google Play subscription must be cancelled separately in Google Play subscription settings.
7. Information security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including transport security, access controls and permission limits. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's privacy
Wildigo is not directed to children. We do not intend to knowingly collect personal information from people below the applicable minimum age. Contact us if you believe this has occurred.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our product, legal obligations or processing practices change. Material changes will be communicated in the app or on this page and the date above will be updated.
